Dr. Madhav has a holistic approach to patient ailments and treatment. He started a Special Interest Group at the American College of Obstetricians and  Gynecologists (ACOG), named "Complimentary Health Practices Group" that holds lectures on alternative medicine and integrative medicine related  topics at the ACOG annual conferences, which he has attended every year since 1989. During this conference he discusses topics such as Mindfulness, Post-partum Depression, Health and Exercise, Weight Loss, Ayurvedic Medicine, Acupuncture, Immunization, and more.

Dr. Madhav’s commitment to his patients and community is further proven by the fact that on three days a week he stays late in the office seeing  patients who are working in jobs that do not allow them to take much time off from work to take care of their own health issues. These late hours  are reserved for patients who need medical attention but are unable to  schedule an appointment during normal office hours. Dr. Madhav noticed that without these late hours the treatment plans of some patients would stretch over several weeks to months because of their inability to leave work for their treatment as necessary.

Some patients, especially those who have had the good fortune of delivering several children with Dr. Madhav, continually return to his practice because he is a solo practitioner and he is always on call for his patients whenever he is in town. This ensures that they are always  able to see him for Prenatal Care and for Delivery, reducing any additional stress and anxiety one might have relating to who might see them or deliver them. Most importantly, patients appreciate the  excellent clinical outcomes they have had with Dr. Madhav. The patients who have C-Sections and Hysterectomies have quick and pain free recovery, and are walking and eating the same day. These patients are extremely happy about their smaller than usual and ultra-low and barely visible cosmetic incision as a result of his training with a world renowned cosmetic surgeon.

Dr. Madhav is recognized as a leader by his peers and he was elected Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Bethesda Hospital on several occasions.
